Undefined Explosive Device (UED) event in Colombia on Fri 24th April 2026

On 24 April 2026, in Santiago de Cali - Comuna 18 (Valle del Cauca), the Jaime Martinez FARC dissident front targeted the Pichincha military battalion using a bus loaded with five explosive devices and a launch system intended to attack the base. The vehicle was positioned in front of the battalion, where one of the devices detonated seconds later, setting the bus on fire. Another explosive fell in a nearby area without detonating, while three others landed inside the base but failed to explode and were later destroyed by authorities (coded separately). Two civilian women in the area were slightly injured in the blast. There were no fatalities.
