On 24 April 2026, in Palmira (Valle del Cauca), members of the Jaime Martinez FARC dissident front attacked the Agustin Codazzi Engineer Battalion with explosives launched from a bus parked outside the facility. According to authorities, the vehicle had been fitted with three explosive devices and launching systems, which were fired toward the military facility, causing infrastructure damage. The bus explosion also caused damage to vehicles in the area at the time. There were no casualties.
