On April 20, a joint People's Defense Force team fired a total of 18 shock missiles and handmade rockets at Ka Pa Sa 24, based in Pauk Township. The attack hit the main factory buildings, causing explosions and subsequent fires. The fire damage at the factory was also officially recorded on NASA’s Fire Map.
