Local sources told Yangon Khit Thit News Agency that the military shot and killed a civilian traveler in Aung Yar village, Lone Khin village tract, Hpakant Township, Kachin State.

On the afternoon of April 22, a military column advanced into Aung Yar village. Soldiers stationed in ambush positions opened fire on a man in his 40s who was traveling by motorcycle. The victim died instantly on the spot.
