Clashes are breaking out in villages across northern Thandaunggyi Township, near the border of Naypyidaw, Bago, and Karen, where more than 10 residents and two People's Defense Force (PDF) members were killed due to junta airstrikes, according to sources.

On April 24, airstrikes targeted Bon Taung Village and active combat zones, killing at least 10 local residents, including two children, and injuring more than 20 others. A military source stated that two PDF comrades also fell in battle that day due to the aerial bombardment.
