A motorcycle taxi driver was shot dead on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, April 22, 2026, by armed men in the Kambali neighborhood, in the Vulamba commune, in the city of Butembo (North Kivu).

According to Musovoli Blaise, president of the Congo Taxi Drivers Network (RETAC) in Butembo, the victim received several bullets fired by assailants who fled after their crime.
