A woman from South Pu Rit Kone village in Monywa Township, Sagaing Region, had to have one leg amputated after stepping on a landmine planted by Pyu Saw Htee (militia) members, an anonymous local resident told Red Peacock News.

Today at around 2:00 PM, the 60-year-old woman from South Pu Rit Kone village entered an uninhabited compound near the border of South Pu Rit Kone and Taw Pu villages along the roadside to pick flowers, where she triggered a landmine planted by the Pyu Saw Htee.
