Fire has broken out at the Tikhoretsk oil pumping station in Russia’s Krasnodar region overnight, detected by NASA fire monitoring systems and later confirmed by regional authorities. A fire broke out at an oil depot in Tikhoretsk, Krasnodar Krai, as a result of an attack by Ukrainian drones.
The attack occurred on the night of April 17–18, 2026. Official sources reported that a fire broke out at the oil depot at 1:17 a.m.
The size of the fire has not been reported; however, the operational headquarters’ official statement noted that 224 personnel and 56 pieces of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire.
It is worth noting that the oil depot in Tikhoretsk is under active attack by Ukrainian drones. However, this is the first attack on it in April.
