Iran has executed Mehdi Farid, a former nuclear-linked employee, over alleged ties to Israel’s Mossad, according to the judiciary. “Mehdi Farid… was hanged this morning for extensive cooperation with the terrorist spy service Mossad,” officials said. NGOs report Farid worked for Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization and was initially sentenced to 10 years before a retrial led to a death sentence.
