On April 19, at approximately 8:30 AM, a column comprising the Zahkung Ting Ying militia, Lisu militia, and Warazup militia—all under the military commission—was intercepted by a KIA-led force betweenhmaw Sizar and Nam Ma Phit villages on the Hpakant-Kamaing road. Using heavy weaponry, small arms, and mines, the resistance forces killed approximately 20 soldiers and militia members.
The casualties included a Captain from the Lisu militia. The attack occurred as the column entered a minefield laid by the KIA.
Similarly, near the cemetery in Ma Lan village, Lone Khin village tract, KIA joint forces attacked again using minefields and various weapons, resulting in the deaths of about 30 soldiers and militia members.
