On April 10, Rohingya man identified as Mohammad Sadek (25) was injured as his left ankle was severed in a landmine explosion that occurred on the Bangladesh-Myanmar border in 'Narikel Bagan' char area, located within the zero line of the Naf River in the Balukhali area of Ukhiya Upazila (Sub-District) of Cox's Bazar District, reports Prothom Alo. Lieutenant Colonel Zahirul Islam, Commander of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB's) Ukhia-64 Battalion, said, "The young man had gone to fish inside Myanmar on the Naf River. He was seriously injured in a mine explosion while returning. Local residents rescued him and took him to the hospital for treatment."
