Grenade event in Kherson, Arkhanhel's'ke area, Ukraine on Sun 19th April 2026

In the village of Arkhangelske in the Kherson region, on April 19, a man had a conflict with a foreman, after which he brought a grenade from home and threw it at a group of construction workers.

Literally: "Currently, a construction team is carrying out renovation work in the village council building. They hired a 43-year-old local resident as an assistant worker. According to the repairmen, the assistant, while intoxicated, performed the assigned task poorly and had to redo it. Instead, the latter believed that the foreman did not want to settle accounts with him. On this basis, a quarrel broke out.

The accomplice then went home, but later returned and continued the conflict. Suddenly, he took out an object that looked like a grenade and threw it towards the administration building.

Five construction workers and two locals who were there ran in different directions. As a result of the explosion, an 18-year-old man received a shrapnel wound to his finger."

Details: Police detained the perpetrator. Fragments, probably from an F-1 grenade, were recovered from the crime scene. According to the man, he found it in his house in 2023 when he returned home after serving a sentence for committing a crime. He was reported on suspicion of attempted murder of two or more people, committed in a manner dangerous to the lives of many people, and illegal possession of ammunition.

At the same time, police also reported another grenade incident in the Chernihiv region. On April 19, an attacker was detained in Novgorod-Siversk, who threatened to kill others with a grenade in a local store. As it turned out, it was a training simulation.
