A military police officer and three suspects were killed in a shootout following a pharmacy robbery in Sorocaba, São Paulo state, Brazil, on April 11. According to authorities, the suspects had just robbed a pharmacy in the Campolim neighborhood and were fleeing in a stolen vehicle when they encountered police patrols. The confrontation erupted on a public street in the early hours of the morning. A fourth suspect was arrested at the scene, while reports indicate a fifth individual managed to escape.
