19th April 2026
Armed hitmen filmed themselves executing a suspected Venezuelan criminal in a rural area of Uribia, La Guajira, Colombia. The victim was identified as Luigi José Navas Vilches, also known as "Luiggi Nava," a Venezuelan national. In the video, the attackers stated they were acting on orders from alias "El Bendito Menor", identified as Nain Andrés Pérez Toncel, for whom Colombian authorities are offering a reward of up to 500 million pesos (approximately $125,000 USD) for information leading to his capture. Navas Vilches was reportedly a member of the Venezuelan-origin criminal gang "El Oso" allegedly led by Oswaldo José Nava Chacín, alias "Oswaldo" or "El Oso." The group, based in Zulia state, Venezuela, is linked to extortion, kidnappings, contract killings, drug trafficking, and arms trafficking. Authorities are also investigating his possible involvement in the massacre that occurred on April 12 in Maicao, where several people were killed amid ongoing disputes between criminal groups in the border region.
