In the municipality of San Andrés de Cuerquia, in northern Antioquia, troops from the 10th Infantry Battalion "Colonel Atanasio Girardot," of the Fourth Brigade, located and carried out the controlled destruction of an improvised explosive device (IED) of the "Chinese hat" type. It appears the device was planted by the residual armed group Structure 36, which operates in the region. This timely action prevents potential harm to the civilian population and the security forces, reaffirming our troops' unwavering commitment to protecting life and security in the territory.
