On 17 April 2026, Russian Forces carried out air strikes at unspecified targets in Charivne, Zaporizhia. Civilian casualties unknown. Russian forces (units of the 'East' group using operational-tactical aviation, combat UAVs, missile forces, and artillery) struck the Ukrainian personnel and equipment of two mechanized brigades, an airborne assault brigade and an assault regiment near Charivne. According to Russian sources, Ukrainian military lost: 2 artillery pieces, including a US-made 155mm Paladin self-propelled artillery unit, 6 vehicles, 4 supply depots and up to 225 Ukrainian servicemen were killed near Samiilivka, Shevchenkivske, Vozdvyzhivka, Charivne, Liubytske and Dobropasove [Russian MoD reported 225 fatalities.
