On 6 June 2021, 4 civilians, including 2 women, a child, and the driver, were killed when their car hit a mine in Ibrahim Khil village outside of the city of Gardez, Paktia. They were all members of the same family and were on the way to a wedding. It's unclear who set the explosive.
