On 17 April 2026, a Houthi IED exploded in a house in Al Mujama village in Bani Haydan (Al Mahabishah, Hajjah). The IED was planted by a Houthi member, who had returned from the frontlines, next to a resident's water tank. The explosion resulted in the killing of 1 woman and 2 of her sons, aged 7 and 4, and the injury of 2 other children from the same family. 3 total fatalities. Some sources claimed that the children played with a hand grenade that a family member brought home instead.
