On 5 June 2021, 12 Taliban were killed after the Afghan air force targeted the Taliban in the Jar-e Quduq area of the Qush Tepa district and the Kukal Dash area of the Faizabad district, Jowzjan. Fatalities split between the Jar-e Quduq (6) and Kukal Dash (6) areas.
