On 11 April 2026, Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike on a checkpoint at Block 9 of Al Burayj camp (Deir El Balah, Gaza Strip) killing 8 people, among them Hamas members and a journalist, and injured others. The exact number of civilians killed is unclear. According to Israeli media, Hamas operatives were targeted in this strike as they approached the yellow line. This event occurred in a Hamas-controlled area of the Yellow Line.
