On 16 April 2026, at 6:45 AM and 7:00 AM local time, Hezbollah fired guided missiles targeting two Israeli Merkava tanks in Al Salaa area of Qantara town (Marjayoun, Al Nabatieh). Between 10:00 AM and 10:30 AM, Hezbollah fired several rocket barrages targeting Israeli army vehicles and soldiers in the town. Between 11:00 and 11:10 AM, Hezbollah fired rocket barrages targeting Israeli soldiers in the Hnaijel heights, near the main square, and east of the town. At 2:30 PM and at 3:00 PM, Hezbollah claimed to have targeted Israeli soldiers and vehicles with artillery shells. At 2:45 PM, the group targeted an Israeli Namera-style vehicle, claiming direct hits. Casualties unknown.
