On 9 June 2021, in Htee Se Khar village (Loikaw Township, Loikaw District, Kayah State) a bomb set up by an unknown armed group exploded at the Htee Se Khar brigade that connects the Hsihseng and Loikaw town. Afterwards, the Myanmar military tightened security measures and closed the road. Casualties unknown.
