An official from the Beikthano People's Defense Army (BPDA) Military Operations Command told Yangon Khit Thit News Agency that five soldiers were killed in a landmine ambush against a terrorist military column that had been burning down villages in Natmauk Township, Magway Region.
At approximately 7:45 AM yesterday, April 18, revolutionary forces carried out a landmine attack as a terrorist military column of about 200 personnel was departing from Kyee Kan Village, causing casualties on the military side. Following the attack, the military retreated back into Kyee Kan Village and burned down residential homes.
Later, at 12:26 PM, while the column was preparing to depart from the eastern side of Kyee Kan Village, they were attacked again with mines. The terrorist military suffered further heavy hits and retreated into the village once more. During these attacks, five soldiers were killed instantly on the spot, and at least 10 others were seriously injured.
