At around 6:00 AM on April 20, the military dictatorship's forces at the Htee Thee Lel camp south of Myawaddy, Kayin State, fired 120mm heavy artillery. The shells exploded in Ward 3 of Wal Lay Myaing, injuring two villagers.

A Karen military news source stated that two men, aged 56 and 21, sustained wounds to their abdomens and legs. Additionally, four houses and three cars were damaged.
