SAA event in Lebanon on Tue 21st April 2026

Further to the previous statement regarding the pursuit of those firing weapons into the air after the ceasefire agreement came into effect, army units conducted raids in the areas of Burj Abi Haidar and Tariq al-Jdideh - Beirut, Sports City - Baabda, Buday, Kfardan, Tariya, and Hazzine - Baalbek, arresting seven Lebanese citizens and one Palestinian for firing weapons into the air on April 17, 2026, and for possessing unlicensed military weapons. A quantity of weapons, ammunition, and military equipment was seized. The seized items were handed over, and an investigation was launched with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities. Efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining individuals involved in the celebratory gunfire.
