On 9 June 2021, a landmine planted by an unknown armed group exploded in a Russian military vehicle while passing in Al Asadiyah town in Al Hasakeh countryside, killing a Russian soldier, and injuring four Russian soldiers, and three Turkish soldiers who where near the site.
