On 6 April 2026, Russian forces (units of the 'North' group) struck with unspecified weapons (coded as shelling) the Ukrainian personnel and equipment of two mechanized brigades, an airmobile brigade, a border detachment, and two territorial defense brigades (coded to Myropillia) near Khotin, Sumy. According to Russian sources, Ukrainian military lost: two armored combat vehicles, five cars, an ammunition depot, nine supply depots and up to 175 Ukrainian servicemen were killed near Myropillia, Mala Slobidka, Pustohorod, Velyka Chernetchina, Bilyi Kolodiaz, Kolodiazne, Nesterne, Khotin, Izbytske and Pidserednye [Russian MoD reported 175 fatalities.
