On 6 April 2026, Russian forces (units of the 'East' group) struck with unspecified weapons (coded as shelling) the Ukrainian personnel and equipment of two mechanized brigades, two airborne assault brigades, an assault brigade, and four assault regiments near Velykomykhailivka, Dnipropetrovsk. According to Russian sources, Ukrainian military lost: two armored combat vehicles, seven cars, an artillery piece and more than 320 Ukrainian servicemen were killed near Velykomykhailivka, Lisne, Pysantsi, Orly, Vozdvyzhivka, Pokrovske, and Verkhnia Tersa [Russian MoD reported 320 fatalities.
