On 10 April 2026, Russian forces (units of the 'North' group) struck with unspecified weapons (coded as shelling) the Ukrainian personnel and equipment of two mechanized brigades, a territorial defense brigade, and a National Guard brigade (coded to Myropillia) near Pokaliane, Kharkiv. According to Russian sources, Ukrainian military lost: two armored combat vehicles, nine vehicles, four electronic warfare stations, an ammo depot, two supply depots and up to 180 Ukrainian servicemen were killed near Myropillia, Novodmytrivka, Khotin, Pokaliane, Veterynarne, Zybyne, Zemlianky, Vovchanski Khutory and Starytsia [Russian MoD reported 180 fatalities.
