On 8 April 2026, SAF fighter drones targeted an RSF convoy in Kutum (Kutum, North Darfur). 12 - 58 were killed (including RSF and civilians) in a wedding ceremony, and 50 - 100 were wounded. SFA claimed that 56 civilians were killed and 107 were wounded. Fatalities coded as 40 based on Sudan Tribune. Conflicting reports as one mentioned that the drones were launched by RSF to target loyalists to Musa Hilal, the RAC commander in RSF, attending the wedding.
