CBRN event in Greece on Fri 17th April 2026
17th April 2026
Police in western Greece have arrested a man near Pyrgos on charges of exposing a minor to danger after his two-year-old grandson swallowed chlorine while under his supervision on Wednesday. The child was initially taken to a regional clinic in Lechaina before being transferred to Pyrgos Hospital for further treatment. However, just hours after his admission, the man removed the toddler from the pediatric ward and left the hospital against medical advice, despite warnings from doctors that the child was at risk of developing chemical pneumonia, a potentially life-threatening condition. The suspect will soon be brought before a prosecutor.
