On 8 April 2026, near Pale Taung village (Minbya township, Mrauk-U district, Rakhine state), the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike using at least four aircraft, including jet fighters and Y-12 transport planes and dropped over 30 bombs around 8:00 am. The airstrike killed a 35-year-old man and injured a 15-year-old boy.
