On 9 April 2026, in Kyun Lay Pin village (Nattalin township, Thayarwady district, Bago region), the Myanmar military fired heavy weapons and conducted an airstrike using three paramotors and dropped eight bombs around 11:20 am. Several houses were burned and destroyed due to the shelling. The airstrike injured a 35-year-old civilian, who lost both legs due to bomb shrapnel and later died. 1 fatality.
