On 8 April 2026, in Natmauk township (Magway district, Magway region), the People's Defense Force - Beikthano conducted a second mine attack using three mines against the Myanmar military column of around 200 soldiers from Light Infantry Division 99 (LID-99) and the Naypyidaw Regional Military Command, around 2:41 pm. Some military soldiers were killed and injured during the attack. During mine attacks across two days (7 - 8 April), the People's Defense Force-Beikthano seized 28 rounds of 5.56 mm ammunition, one magazine, and military equipment. Some military soldiers were killed and injured. There were an unspecified number of fatalities. Unspecified fatalities coded as 3.
