On 8 April 2026, in the evening, JNIM claimed that a patrol of the Nigerien army struck an IED planted by them between Bossia and Toure, coded to Koutoune (Gotheye, Tillaberi), a midpoint between the two locations. They also published the vehicle's pictures of it completely destroyed. Casualties unknown.
