On 6 April 2026, around 12:40 am, unidentified forces (likely linked to Iranian-backed groups due to ongoing hostilities between the United States, Israel, and Iran) conducted 2 drone strikes targeting unspecified refugee camps (presumed to be hosting Iranian refugees) in the Koysinjaq district (coded to district center Koisnjaq) (Erbil). One drone was intercepted, but the other drone impacted the site, causing material damage. There were no casualties.
