On 6 April 2026, overnight, unknown forces (likely linked to Iranian-backed groups due to ongoing hostilities between the United States, Israel, and Iran) conducted 2 drone strikes targeting an office belonging to the Komala party in the Bakhtiari neighborhood of Sulaymaniyah City (Al Sulaymaniyah), causing material damage. There were no casualties. The first drone strike occurred at 12:20 am, and the second attack was shortly before 1 am.
