On 9 April 2026, evening, a suspected unnamed pro-Iran militia launched 7 drones that directly impacted several 'vital' infrastructure sites in Kuwait (coded to capital Kuwait City) (Al Asimah). No casualties were reported. Kuwaiti authorities did not explicitly confirm the source of the attack though it blamed Iran and its proxies in general, and the IRCG denied responsibility for attacks against Gulf states since the ceasefire brokered on 8 April. One source claimed that the attack originated from Iraq.
