On 7 April 2026, Hezbollah forces in Lebanon fired 10 rockets towards Kiryat Shmona (Zefat, HaZafon), one of which hit the city and damaged buildings, but caused no casualties, while the rest were intercepted. Hezbollah claimed to target Kiryat Shmona twice during the day, with this attack coinciding with the second claim. No Israeli sources confirmed the first attempted attack.
