On 8 April 2026, Israeli warplanes carried out at least one airstrike targeting residential buildings and commercial shops in Zefta (Al Nabatieh, Al Nabatieh). Casualties unknown. The IDF stated the operation, codenamed 'Eternal Darkness,' involved 50 Israeli Air Force jets conducting 100 airstrikes and dropping more than 160 bombs across Lebanon. [The Lebanese Civil Defense announced that 28 people, without differentiation between combatants and civilians, were killed and 59 others were injured in Israeli airstrikes across the Nabatieh district. Of the 28 reported fatalities, 7 were confirmed in other events. The remaining 21 fatalities were distributed across 19 events, with 1 fatality coded to this event.]
