On 7 April 2026, military forces, likely American (likely as part of the ongoing US-Iran conflict) launched at least three missiles, likely Tomahawk, from Kuwaiti territory hitting a farmhouse in the agricultural area of Al Muwailihat near Khor al Zubair Al Janoubi city and road linking it with Safwan (coded as Khor al Zubair city, Al Basrah), destroying the house. The house belonged to Kataib Hezbollah whose members including a local leader were meeting at the time of the strike. The site was used by them as a missile platform and a radar. 3 to 5 people inside were killed (including the leader) and 2 injured (a woman and a child). The PMF surrounded the area. 3 days of mourning were declared in the province. Fatalities coded as 3 based on Shafaaq News and ROJ News.
