On 10 April 2026, in Guidoval (Minas Gerais), at least eight armed men with rifles broke into a Banco do Brasil branch and blew up a vault. The suspects scattered sharp objects, known as 'miguelitos,' across the streets and blocked the roads with barricades made of tires and burning vehicles in an attempt to prevent the police from arriving. The police stated that the perpetrators include drug traffickers and a teenager; agents arrested three suspects, one of whom was injured. One of the suspects' cars was found burned in the municipality of Rodeiro. There were no fatalities.
