Troops discover, detonate IED in Borno community By: Zagazola Makama Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have discovered and safely detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) in Mairari town along the Gajiram axis of Borno State. Security sources said the device was detected at about 9:00 a.m. on April 17 by an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and route scanning team deployed from a Forward Operating Base in the area. According to the sources, the IED was found at the edge of the town’s exit gate, raising concerns about potential threats to both civilians and security personnel using the route.
