20th April 2026
A powerful explosion occurred at a semi-detached house in Falkenberg during the night of Monday. No one was reportedly physically injured.
Several family members were in the home at the time of the explosion but no one was injured.
– We received the alarm at 00.55 and it appears to have been a fairly powerful bomb. The front door is completely blown away but otherwise there appears to be only possible damage to a vehicle, says Morten Gunneng, duty officer at Police Region West.
The National Bomb Disposal Service was called to the scene and was able to determine at 7 a.m. on Monday morning that there was no further risk of explosion at the scene.
Area cordoned off
No one has been arrested for the crime and the police have opened a preliminary investigation into public danger.
– We are looking at the people who live there and all the information we have around, but as it is now we do not know what or who it was aimed at, says Morten Gunneng.
An area was cordoned off while police worked at the scene. A preliminary investigation into public danger has been launched.
