A powerful explosion occurred in Malmö shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday morning. The explosion blew a hole in the facade of an apartment building.

– There are no injuries, says alarm and control operator Hilda Andersson to TT.

The explosion occurred at 03.14 near Hindby and was heard in large parts of Malmö, writes Sydsvenskan , which was the first to report the incident. The national bomb disposal unit was called, but was ready at the scene shortly after 06.

The police have opened a preliminary investigation into public danger and a serious violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods. There is no suspect.
