Mortar Bomb event in Colombia on Thu 16th April 2026

In the municipality of Ituango, Antioquia, troops from the 10th Light Infantry Battalion Colonel Atanasio Girardot of the #FourthBrigade, and the @FiscaliaCol 75 CTI GICOC, managed to locate an illegal deposit in the Chontaduro hamlet, which contained war materials, explosives, and communications equipment, allegedly belonging to the GAOr Substructure 18. At the site, a rifle, a carbine, a mortar, 60 mm grenades, ammunition of various calibers, antipersonnel mines, detonators, and communication equipment were seized, among other items. This operational result allows for a forceful impact on the armed capacity of this structure, weakening its criminal actions and neutralizing possible terrorist actions against the Public Force and the civilian population.
