Drones attacked the city of Tolyatti in Russia's Samara Oblast on the night of 3-4 April. Two chemical plants have been hit and fires have broken out.

Astra, citing local residents, initially reported that a plant in Tolyatti was on fire. Telegram channels also reported multiple strikes in the city and damage to "several facilities". Astra later said it had geolocated the strike sites. According to the Russian Telegram channel, areas near two chemical plants in Tolyatti — Tolyattikauchuk and KuibyshevAzot — are on fire following the attack. Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) reported the suspension of operations at Samara airport. Quote from Astra: "Residents of Tolyatti in Samara Oblast reported many explosions and a fire on the night of 3-4 April. Based on analysis of eyewitness footage, the fire broke out near two chemical plants located close to each other — Tolyattikauchuk and KuibyshevAzot." Details: KuibyshevAzot's website states that it is one of Russia's leading chemical companies, a major producer of caprolactam and its derivatives and among the largest manufacturers of nitrogen fertilisers in the country. Tolyattikauchuk is a petrochemical facility producing synthetic rubber and chemical components used in the manufacture of tyres and rubber goods. Update: Fedorishchev confirmed a drone attack on Tolyatti in the morning. He said that an employee of one of the city's industrial facilities had suffered shrapnel injuries. Fedorishchev also claimed that a drone "fell onto the roof of a residential building". He did not provide further details about the strikes but noted traffic restrictions "in the northern industrial hub". Background: The Russian authorities reported that several regions in Russia came under a large-scale drone attack on the night of 10-11 March. Explosions were heard in Sochi and a chemical plant was burning in Tolyatti in Samara Oblast.
