In Taungthaman Region, during the opening ceremony of the regional government Thingyan pavilion officiated by junta-appointed Chief Minister Zaw Naing Oo, a drone attack occurred, and explosions also happened near the minister's residence in Thaton town.

Local military news sources and residents told the Yangon Khit Thit news agency that during the opening of the central Thingyan pavilion in Thaton town, Tanintharyi Region, by junta-appointed Chief Minister Zaw Naing Oo, it was attacked by drone.

Around 4 p.m. on April 13, during the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Tanintharyi Region government's central Thingyan pavilion built near the Col. Kyi statue in Thaton town, attended by junta-appointed Chief Minister Zaw Naing Oo, it was attacked by drone.

During that attack, one bomb landed and exploded on the west side of the central pavilion, one on the region police station, and one on the district administrator's office; during that attack, the terrorist military side suffered hits and conducted clearing operations with three military vehicles, mounting machine guns and firing into the air.

"The central pavilion was near the Col. Kyi statue, and we learned it was hit by a drone. After the bombs dropped, they couldn't even continue the opening ceremony. Everyone ran away, and three military cars came for clearing operations. Big shots from the terrorist military were there for the opening ceremony when it was attacked. No outsiders were allowed in; they blocked the roads and cut the ribbon inside. When attacked, they circled and fired guns. They fired upwards too," said the local military news source.

Before this drone attack occurred, explosions continuously sounded near the minister's residence in Thaton town in the afternoon; after the attack, on April 14 today, the terrorist military patrolled Thaton town with military vehicles.
