A large police operation was launched last night between the municipalities of Monterrey and San Pedro, following the theft of an official Monterrey Civil Protection vehicle. The vehicle was found abandoned minutes later in a residential area, while the suspected thief escaped. According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred around 11:00 p.m., when emergency personnel were responding to a report on the express lanes of Constitución Avenue, near Benito Juárez Avenue, in downtown Monterrey.
