Bomb (Air Delivered) event in Lebanon on Sun 5th April 2026

On 5/4/2026 around 21:00, an apartment in the Ain Saade - Al Matn area was subjected to a hostile Israeli strike with two GBU-39 bombs launched from an aircraft or warship, in the context of the widespread aggression on Lebanon. A specialized unit from the army arrived at the site of the attack and conducted a field survey to collect evidence, and it was determined as a result that the two bombs penetrated the building's roof then the fourth floor, and exploded in the targeted third floor, leading to the martyrdom of three citizens from the residents of the same floor, and the injury of others with wounds. The initial investigations also showed no new tenants in the building. Meanwhile, it was found that one person was seen leaving the building on a motorcycle immediately after the attack, and the investigation is ongoing to uncover his identity and ascertain the remaining details. The army command calls for refraining from speculation regarding this attack, and to exercise awareness and responsibility, pending the completion of the investigation.
